Prayer of Salvation
ACCEPT JESUS TODAY

If you have been looking for answers to questions about how to accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior, it is important that you understand that you do not need to be at a ‘church service’ to do so. Understand, the LORD God created you for His pleasure and He has made a way for you to know Him personally; not simply as a God who exists, but the only True and Living Almighty God who loves, protects, cares for, saves, and offers a Greater Destiny to those who trust in Him. You can know God personally and be united with Him through accepting the finished work of Jesus Christ if you follow the plan He has given us in the Holy Bible:
  • Admit the existence of Sin. The Bible clearly teaches that “all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). No one born into this world can claim to be completely sinless and deserving of God’s approval. God is completely holy and pure, and He will not treat sin lightly. His law demands that sin be punished and the punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23). All men and women die because all men and women are sinners living in rebellion against God. The death that the Bible speaks about is not just a onetime event, but a continual separation from the God of love and goodness. Those who die in their sin will enter into eternal separation from God in a literal Hell (Revelation 20:15).
In order to deal with this problem of sin we must first admit that the problem exists. No one can be saved without acknowledging a need for salvation.
  • Believe that He Died for you and He is LORD. Simply acknowledging a need doesn’t solve the problem of sin, but it causes us to want to find the solution. There are many philosophies and religions that claim to provide answers, but the Bible gives only 1 option and that is to believe in the only Way, Jesus (John 14:6).
There is nothing that WE can do to save ourselves. Jesus is the only person who can save men from sin because He is the only one who became a man capable of being the substitute sacrifice for sinners (Galatians 3:13) while He was, is, and will always be God (John 10:30). Jesus died not because of sin He committed, He had no sin, but because of the sin you and I were born into and have committed. He paid the penalty for Our Sin. The Bible says that in order to receive the gift of salvation and the forgiveness of sins you must believe that Jesus died for YOU (John 3:16)!!!
  • Confess your sin and acknowledge your need for Him in your Life. Will you ADMIT that you are a sinner in need of salvation? Do you BELIEVE that Jesus is the only Savior to come into this world and paid the penalty for YOUR sin? Then Confess to Him your sin, Confess your belief in Him, and with the words of your mouth Confess your acceptance of His free gift of salvation (Romans 10:9). Pray this prayer:
"Dear Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins, and I understand that you came to the earth as the Son of God to save those who believe in you from the curse of sin. I believe that you shed your blood and died for my sins; you resurrected from the dead, you are alive, and you alone can strengthen me to pursue the Greater Destiny for my life. Jesus, please become the LORD and Savior of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.”
  • Do something to cause His Glory to fill the earth. Being a Christian means more than just saying a prayer. When true faith begins in the heart of a person it is revealed through holy action. Now that you believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ and have confessed Him as LORD and Savior, He calls you to become His disciple, follow Him, fulfill the Greater Destiny that He has placed upon your life, and cause His Glory to fill this earth. This is not a journey to earn His favor; He already loves you as much as He can. Following the LORD Jesus Christ is a blessing of living a life of eternal purpose and meaningful worship. Because God has given you His Holy Spirit you can grow in your knowledge of His will through the Bible and serve Him with your life in the world and in the local church.
We strongly encourage you to get connected with our church family or one near you that preaches & teaches the Bible, faithfully makes the LORD God’s Word clear & applicable, and encourages you to pursue your Greater purpose & destiny. Share your new faith with another Christian who can help you to learn and grow in your walk with Christ. Start reading the Bible regularly to get to know God better and understand the Greater Destiny and will that He has for your life. All new believers need to read the Word of the LORD God often to become mature and confident in their Christian faith. As you continue to see the love of God at work in your heart you will appreciate more and more the great plan of salvation our God has established to bring us back to Him and give us the most precious gift we will ever receive (1 John 4:10)!!!
