The Rev. Dr. John E. Robinson, II

The Rev. Dr. John E. Robinson, II has functioned in ministry since the age of 16. He is dedicated to the message of Jesus Christ through speaking, music, writing, and other venues. Dr. Robinson approaches ministry with unrelenting energy and determination to glorify the Lord in such a way that others are inspired to seek the Lord as a foundation for their lives. With a desire to help people help themselves, he is devoted to encouraging others. He lives by the saying, "Successful people do daily what others do occasionally."

Rev. Dr. Robinson served as founding Pastor of a church plant in Pittsburgh for eight years. Later, he was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of a Historic Church just outside the Pittsburgh area. Under his leadership, the congregation grew spiritually and numerically through the development of new programs, ministries, conferences, and seminars that have been a benefit to the church and the community.

In addition to pastoral ministry, Dr. Robinson is the co-founder of Your Greater Destiny. This ministry helps people understand and fulfill their divine purpose through community events, inspirational teachings, and more. The team has been blessed to minister around the world.

Rev. Dr. Robinson has composed several songs. Additionally, he is the author of two books dealing with biblical foundations and kingdom success. He has instructed at various ministry schools and conferences on topics regarding 21st Century Ministry, Leadership, Music, Worship, and other subjects.

Rev. Dr. Robinson has earned his Bachelors and Master of Science degrees from Geneva College, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from South University School of Theology. He is married to Pastor Latisha Robinson. In addition to working together in ministry, they have five children: John, Jenaya, Judah, Ja'Saiyah, and Journey.

Rev. Dr. Robinson was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of REAL First Baptist Church of Burlington in June 2021. He is the twenty-first pastor in the Church’s rich history of focusing upward, reaching outward, and growing inward. While serving as pastor, the church has added a Young Adult Ministry, Widows & Widowers Ministry, a Summer Lunch program, and more. Further, under Dr. Robinson's leadership, the church continues to grow and develop with a commitment to love and serve God by loving and serving one another.
